The Affordable Care Act (ACA) imposes some significant federal forms reporting requirements on employers, along with requirements to communicate at specific time points with employees, regarding health insurance coverage. The insurance policy which would logically be expected to provide employers with some protection in this regard is the Fiduciary Liability policy. Insurers are coming forth with extensions of coverage for ACA fines and penalties, and in some limited instances, actual liability insurance for allegations involving violation of the ACA. Understanding the coverages available can help agents (as well as underwriters) better communicate, and therefore, better prepare their clients. We’ll focus on these issues in the webinar, in the hope that increased knowledge will provide all parties with better protection.
